In 2015 brengt de IJslandse zangeres Björk haar negende album Vulnicura uit. Na het verrassende app-album Biophilia uit 2011 laat het nieuwe album zich beluisteren als een klassiek Björk-album. Er zijn weinig verrassingen te vinden op deze plaat die om de verwerking van het einde van Björks relatie met kunstenaar Matthew Barney draait. Het neemt niet weg dat het album enkele prachtige songs herbergt, zoals "Black Lake", een tien minuten durend epos dat vele gemoedstoestanden oproept. En "Family" is een prachtig desolate song, die perfect aansluit bij het thema van de plaat.
