At only 26 years old, Thomas Enhco has the CV of a veteran. Already three albums to his name and collaborations with an impressive number of colleagues from true jazz & classical all the way to french music (Mike Stern, Jack DeJohnette, Maxim Vengerov, Vadim Repin, Daniel Humair, Ibrahim Maalouf, Jane Birkin, Christophe to name but a few), the young Parisian pianist adds another critical piece to his personal puzzle by signing off on Feathers, his first solo piano album. A disc-shaped torrent of music where his art of improvisation takes on a new dimension. In the tradition of Keith Jarrett - one of his idols - Ehnco blurs the boundaries between jazz and classical. Here he takes on the role of storyteller, sometimes lyrical and introverted, sometimes fiery and restless but also posed and total introspection. A beautiful and fascinating piano journey. © MD/Qobuz
