The Interscope-issued debut EP from tree house-dwelling, Los Angeles-based, Michigan-reared Garrett Borns, better known by his Scandinavian vowel-adorned surname BØRNS, the aptly named Candy is built around the spirited single "10,000 Emerald Pools," a dizzying and syrupy sweet pop confection that effortlessly blends elements of electro-pop, IDM, glam rock, and folk into a highly danceable infusion of club-ready goodness. The remaining three tracks ("Electric Love," "Past Lives," and "Seeing Stars") follow suit, offering up immaculately produced earworms that are as dreamy as they are immediate and hook-laden.
