Makar
Makar first formed in February of 2000, when husband and wife team Mark Purnell (singer/pianist) and Andrea DeAngelis (singer/guitarist) decided to put together a folk group to rail against the injustices they noticed around them. In 2001, they added Vincente Viray (singer/guitarist) and Daniel Coates (bassist/guitarist) to the lineup, and released the 99-cent Dream EP. A full-length version of the 99-cent Dream was released in 2005 followed by Funeral Genius in 2011.
