Daniel Humair Soultet
An exceptional drummer, Daniel Humair has collaborated with countless jazz legends since the 1960s. This constant availability has not prevented him from pursuing a rich career under his own name, in trio with Martial Solal as early as 1958, with Michel Hausser, or in the famous HUM trio featuring Humair, René Urtreger and Pierre Michelot in 1965. An enthusiast of contemporary art, the Swiss drummer is also a painter in his spare time, when he's not playing in Phil Woods' European Rhythm Machine or joining Michel Portal and other soloists. Back in trio with Henri Texier and François Jeanneau in the 1980s, then Joachim Kühn and Jean-François Jenny Clark, the drumming virtuoso never ceases to record for others or on his own account.
