Coelho

Real name Hugo Papin, the rapper from Nantes took his pseudonym Coelho in homage to Brazilian writer Paulo Coelho, author of the famous novel L'Alchimiste (1988). Coelho appeared in 2017 with the EP Philadelphia, produced by his older brother BeDar, and went on to record the albums Vanités (2018), Odysée (2020) and Un Jour de Moins (2022), released on the Mezoued Records label created by Tunisiano. In 2023, he gained wider notoriety with his participation in the second season of the TV show Nouvelle école, adapted from the American program Rhythm + Flow and broadcast on a high-audience video platform. Having reached the final of the competition, won by Yuz Boy, the rapper performed the track "Arrêt du cœur" with Kalash Criminel, while "Soundcheck" was released the same day, followed a week later by "AMF - Nouvelle école", which ranked on several listening platforms.
