Xander
Born Alexander Theo Linnet, Xander is a dance-pop artist who became a regular on the Danish charts after reaching number one with his debut single, "Det Burde Ikk Være Sådan Her," in 2010. He's the son of Danish singer/songwriter Anne Linnet and model Mads Buhl Nielsen.
Linnet signed with Danish label ArtPeople in his early twenties and released the yearning "Det Burde Ikk Være Sådan Her" ("It Should Not Be Like This") in late 2010. After debuting at number 25 on Denmark's singles chart, it eventually spent two weeks at number one. The song appeared on his first album, Over Skyer, Under Vand, in early 2011. It reached number nine on the country's album chart.
In September of 2012, Xander began a stint as coach on the second season of the TV competition Voice – Danmarks Største Stemme, alongside returning coaches Lene Nystrøm of Aqua, Sharin Foo of the Raveonettes, and rapper L.O.C. Before the end of the year, he released his second studio LP, Hvis Jeg Skrev Dig en Sang. It also reached the Top Ten, peaking at number seven. Xander's next record was delayed due to a move to Universal-affiliated Labelmade Records. Arriving in 2016, the EP Indre By ("Inner City") returned the singer to the Top Ten and earned him a nomination for Danish Songwriter of the Year at the 2017 Danish Music Awards.
