The Last Dinner Party

London's the Last Dinner Party combine maximalist pop grandeur with hook-filled baroque indie rock to create bold modern stadium anthems that evoke the art-pop acumen of artists like Sparks, Kate Bush, and Siouxsie and the Banshees. Founded in 2021 by Abigail Morris (vocals), Lizzie Mayland (vocals, guitar), Emily Roberts (lead guitar, mandolin, flute), Georgia Davies (bass), and Aurora Nishevci (keys, vocals), the band initially operated under the name the Dinner Party before adopting their current moniker in 2022. One of the most buzzed-about acts on the London live circuit -- they landed an opening slot for the Rolling Stones in Hyde Park without having released a single yet -- the Last Dinner Party inked a deal with Island ahead of the arrival of 2023's "Nothing Matters." Potent, brash, and majestic, the song lived up to the hype, garnering millions of streams and setting the table for the group's debut full-length effort, Prelude to Ecstasy, in 2024.
