Shaylen

A soulful singer with a highly resonant voice, Shaylen Carroll (aka Shaylen) is pop artist with a bent toward electronic dance music, hip-hop, and R&B. Her debut EP, Highs and Lows, arrived in 2019, followed by Temporary Feelings and Santa Barbara in 2020. She also paired with Jerome Price for 2021's "Disturbia." Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Shaylen grew up in Allen, a suburb of Dallas, Texas. It was there that she first began performing, singing in church, and acting in local children's theater. She also sang in her school choir and took private vocal, piano, and guitar lessons. After high school, she appeared briefly on the tween musical sitcom The Wannabes before relocating to Los Angeles in 2014 to focus on her solo career. In 2016, Shaylen gained attention for her spotlight appearance singing on DJ Chuckie's "Warrior." More well-received collaborations followed, including tracks with Manse, Manila Killa, Niko the Kid, and others. She followed up with her own tracks: "Kamikaze," "Just a Little Bit" with Cory Enemy," and "Paranoid." In 2019, she released her debut EP Highs and Lows, which featured the break-up anthem "BTW." More EPs followed in 2020, including Temporary Feelings and Santa Barbara. In July 2021, she joined Jerome Price for the song "Disturbia."
