Pino D'angio'

Along with the French duo Chagrin d'Amour, Italy's Pino d'Angio was the first to mix club music and rap in 1981, the year of the success of "Ma Quale Idea" and "Chacun fait (c'qui lui plaît)". Pino d'Angio's song was inspired by McFadden & Whitehead's funk track "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" . It reached number one for many weeks in France and sold two million copies worldwide. Real name Giuseppe Chierchia, Pino d'Angio was born in Pompeii on August 14, 1954. " Ma Quale Idea" is his only major success, apart from his participation in 1990 in the Eurodance group Age of Love, author of the classic "The Age of Love", sung by model Karen Mulder.
