Piero Milesi
Based in Milan, Italy, Piero Milesi studied electronic and experimental compositions at the Conservatorio "G. Verdi" in Milan after early training as a cellist. He graduated from the University of Architecture in Milan, where he wrote a dissertation on the relationships between space and music. Milesi composed many pieces for visual spectacles, from ballet to film to fireworks displays. Working primarily as a composer, he scored numerous film, video, and television soundtracks, and released several albums on Cuneiform, including one of the label's very early releases, The Nuclear Observatory of Mr. Nanoff, in 1986. Milesi died in Levanto, Italy on October 30, 2011.
