Peachcake
The fun-loving indie electronic outfit Peachcake formed in Carefree Creek, AZ, in the winter of 2003 as a collaboration between Stefan "Space Panda" Pruett and John "DJ JohnO" O'Keefe. In their live shows, Peachcake's sound was rounded out by a rotating cast of characters who included David Halicky, Mike McHale, Josh Carro, Jessy Meeker, Tanner Menard, and Jake Ricker. Peachcake's debut EP, Chain Letter, was released on Western Tread in 2004. Over the course of the next four years, the band transformed from an informal project into a full-blown national act, with Peachcake making appearances at SXSW and on the Warped Tour, and eventually winning the sponsorship of Jones Soda. Peachcake's second EP, the wryly titled We Should've Never Released This, hit stores in 2006, and their debut full-length, What Year Will You Have the World, came out two years later.
