Marcus Machado

A multi-instrumentalist known primarily for his stylistically diverse work on guitar, Marcus Machado has been deeply involved with the music since he was a toddler. His first public audience was his kindergarten class, when he performed Jimi Hendrix's "The Sky Cries Mary" on guitar synthesizer. Machado picked up keyboards, bass, and drums as a youngster, but guitar remained his true calling, and he became known for his mixture of blues, funk, jazz, and rock, inspired by Hendrix and other giants, including Carlos Santana, Jimmy Page, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Before he was old enough to drive, Machado performed the National Anthem prior to an Orlando Magic NBA game and released his first album, Live at Will's Pub. As a young adult, he became a seasoned touring and recording side musician with the Family Stand, Boris Titulaer, Sandra St. Victor, and Weather Report's Victor Bailey. In 2015, through Purpose Music Group, Machado released 29, a predominantly instrumental EP that switched easily between fiery and relaxed material. St. Victor and DJ Spinna appeared as guest artists.
