Luke Thompson

A New Zealand-born singer/songwriter, Luke Thompson was an immediate success upon the release of his first album, 2007's Here on the Ground. His discovery at a festival led to a scholarship year at his choice of music school; Thompson then met producer Nik Manders and convinced him to produce a single that the young artist had been working on as a school assignment. The single led to a grant for a second work, which in turn led to a deal that would allow him to record his debut full-length. Bolstered by well-received singles "Morning Light" and "Perfect Drive," Thompson took his intimate acoustic sound on the road, visiting vineyards and cafes on his Midsummer Tour 2008.
