Hunxho

Atlanta rapper Hunxho sweetens his heavy lyrics of street struggles with smooth instrumentals and Auto-Tuned melodies. He quickly went from self-releasing mixtapes to collaborating with big-name artists, with 21 Savage and NoCap making appearances on his 300 Entertainment-released 2022 album Street Poetry and 2023's 22. He reached the Billboard 200 for the first time with another 2023 release, For Her. In 2024, he issued several singles including the 2 Chainz collaboration "Come Over." Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, Hunxho played basketball in high school before relocating to Colorado for college and eventually landing in Atlanta to work on a rap career. His first songs started materializing around 2017, and he quickly began releasing music in the form of projects like the 2018 mixtape True Story and 2020 album Street Poet. Hunxho signed on with 300 Entertainment for his 2022 LP Street Poetry after his 2021 track "Let's Get It" garnered enough buzz to merit a 21 Savage remix. Just months after the album came out, Hunxho followed it with the 2022 EP XHOSEN. In April 2023, he delivered the full-length 22, named in part by the address where he first lived in Atlanta (2200 2nd Ave.) and the fact that he was 22 years old when he signed his recording contract. Included on the album was the track "Uh Huh" featuring Grizzley. Two more releases, the EP 4 Days in LA and the mixtape For Her, followed later in the year. A deluxe edition of For Her added several songs to its track listing. Hunxho focused on singles in early 2024. "Xho Sex" appeared near the beginning of the year, then the Summer Walker collaboration "Your Friends" was released in February. "Closer to Over" arrived two months later, and in May, Hunxho released "Come Over" with 2 Chainz and producer Mike WiLL Made-It.
