Ed Van Fleet
Composer Ed Van Fleet received a patent in 1994 for his creation of a listening display unit that is used in music stores. He invented the pioneering device in 1990 and named it the Music Tower. In addition to his work as an inventor, he heads a recording company and records music. He has put out more than 20 recordings. His Grand Eagle CD hit the half-million mark in number of copies sold, and total sales of his albums exceed the two-million mark. Van Fleet's music has been featured in more than a dozen documentaries and movies, among them Moonshot, which documents the Apollo space mission and man's landing on the moon. His compositions also have been heard at Washington's Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. In addition to releasing discs under his own name, the composer also records under the name Synchestra.
