Casuarina
Formed in 2001, Casuarina is one of a number of Rio de Janeiro groups that are bringing samba back into fashion. Without sacrificing to the electro trend, Casuarina offers a renewed samba based on improvisation and the joy of playing. Casuarina was released in 2005, followed by Certidao in 2007. As Casuarina is above all a group that excels in improvisation, MTV Apresenta: Casuarina, released in 2010 and recorded live, is still the best way to discover the group.
