Carry Minati

CarryMinati is the online handle and nom de plume for Ajey Nagar, who was born June 12, 1999 in India. He began posting YouTube videos before he was a teenager. While he initially focused on footage of and commentary on video games, he redubbed his channel CarryMinati in the mid 2010s and began producing satirical songs, often diss tracks, and roasting various public and online figures. He released the songs “Bye Pewdiepie” and “Trigger” in 2019, and was named a next generation leader by Time that same year. He released an infamous video making fun of prominent Tik Tok personality Amir Siddiqui in May of 2020, but the clip was eventually taken down by YouTube claiming the video violated the company’s policies concerning harassment. In early June, due to the strong negative reaction and calls to kick him off social media, he released the song and video “Yalgaar” to answer the haters. Produced by Wily Frenzy, the video became a viral sensation.
