Cantores De Hispalis

Andalusian popular music group Cantores de Hispalis carried on for several decades with revolving lineups, generally with Pascual González at the helm, establishing a huge catalog of music in the process. The group was originally founded in 1976 by González and Juan Luis Calceteiro, along with José Antonio Rua and Rafael Ojeda. This lineup wasn't long-lasting, however, and by the 1990s González was taking top or co-billing on some releases. Commencing with Cosas de Mi Tierra (1978), the group released a long list of albums: A Tí, Sevilla (1980), Desde el Corazón del Pueblo (1981), A Nuestro Aire (1982), Salsa, Compás y Palmas (1982), La Adoración (1983), El Carrusel de la Alegría (1983), Adelante (1984), Pavo, Turrón y a Cantar (1984), El Autobús de la Primavera (1985), Sabor Afrobético (1985), Misa Cofrade en Sevilla (1985), Superandalucía (1986), Es Navidad (1986), Himno del Real Betis (1986), Gente Güena (1987), Va por Ti Málaga (1987), Pueblo Somos (1988), Danza (1988), Por la Paz (1989), Samba del Sol (1989), Sangre (1990), Gazpacho Fresquito (1991), Con Mi Soledad (1992), Al Sur de Tu Cuerpo (1994), El Cantor de Hispalis (1995), Niña Elena (1995), Feria (1996), Con el Paso del Tiempo (1996), Rapsoda (1997), Misa de Navidad (1997), Al'Baraka (1998), Sevilla Reza Cantando (2000), Antología de Grandes Éxitos (2001), La Taberna de los Poetas (2002), Esta Fiesta Es la Caña (2005), Que No Nos Falte de Ná: Lo Mejor de Cantores de Híspalis (2008), and more.
