Owl Eyes
A couple of years after reaching the finals of Australian Idol as a teenager, Melbourne native Brooke Addamo emerged under the moniker Owl Eyes, releasing her debut EP Faces in 2010. Blending lush, '80s-infused synth pop with warm, airy vocals, Addamo quickly gained the support of Australian youth radio giant Triple J and attracted label interest. Two more EPs followed (2011's Raiders and 2012's Crystalised) as she toured and developed her sound, collaborating with other songwriters and producers and eventually signing with Wunderkind/Warner, which released her debut album, Nightswim, in 2013.
