Just call it a comeback for the Stax star...

Experts in soul music know this man well. Not as well as they know Marvin Gaye, mind you, but William Bell remains a big name in the soul world, and mainly for his writing prowess. The author of soul standard You Don't Miss Your Water, and co-author of Born Under A Bad Sign (co-written with Booker T.) that Albert King made famous in 1967, also recorded 6 albums on the legendary label Stax between 1967 and 1974. Southern soul, pure and simple, that he's reviving in This Is Where I Live. For his first album in 10 years, he's created a touching comeback with hints of country-soul that makes the most of his crackly yet classy voice. The 76 year old from Memphis has done it again.
