Velocity
Featuring vocalist Giorgos (aka Havoc), guitarist Kostas, bassist Giannis, and drummer Nikos, Greek hardcore crew Velocity got their start in 1998 -- although the singer and bassist can claim punk rock roots dating as far back as the early '80s. Signing to Greece's own Black Lotus Records, the quartet released three albums in quick succession, these being 2001's live X-Epanastatis (translation: "X-Rebel"), 2002's Axia kai Dinami ("Value and Strength"), and 2004's Eleftheria ("Freedom"). Notably, and in keeping with their blue-collar, street-punk ethics, Velocity sing most of their lyrics in Greek.
