Spider Rockets

New Jersey's Spider Rockets emerged in 1998 with a modern sound rooted in classic hard rock and heavy metal. Led by powerhouse frontwoman Helena Cos and guitarist Johnny Nap, the band quickly went from regional faves to sharing stages with contemporaries like Puddle of Mudd, Pop Evil, Trapt, and Saving Abel, among others. They issued their first long-player, Flipped Off, in 2000, followed by the Preview EP (2003) and the full-length Ever After (2007), all of which were helmed by studio heavy-hitter Martin Bisi (Sonic Youth, Swans). The group worked with producer Eric Rachel on their eponymous third studio album, and in 2012 they issued the well-received Bitten, which included the heavy rock hit "Going Down." 2018's Dan Malsch-produced Along Came a Spider yielded the streaming hit "Rip Your Heart Out," and in 2022, the band issued the gritty and cathartic stand-alone single "Casual Violence."
