RJAE

New Orleans' RJAE seamlessly alternates between aggressive, braggadocious rapping and smooth, passionate singing, largely delivering material focusing on heartbreak and relationship issues. He broke out with heavily streamed early singles like 2017's "Not Enough," leading to a national tour with NoCap and an affiliation with Never Broke Again. His equally swaggering and romantic debut full-length, You're the Problem, arrived on Roc Nation in 2023. RJAE was born in New Orleans, and his family temporarily lived in Memphis and New York before eventually re-settling in their home city. His father was a rapper, and he started rhyming as a teenager. When he was 16, his friend posted a video of him freestyling, unexpectedly drawing hundreds of thousands of views overnight. In 2017, he released the song "Not Enough," which eventually reached over two million streams, as well as the B.A.E. EP. He made his debut performance at New Orleans' House of Blues, and later toured as the opening act for NoCap. His second EP, Northway, appeared in 2019, and the Quando Rondo collaboration "Fallen Souljas" was released the following year. He became a part of the Never Broke Again family, appearing on The Compilation, Vol. 1 (2021) and Green Flag Activity (2022), among other projects. He also signed a distribution deal with Roc Nation, which issued his 2023 full-length debut, You're the Problem, which featured guest appearances by A Boogie wit da Hoodie and Youngboy Never Broke Again.
