Rain City Drive
Forming in 2014 under the original moniker of Slaves, the Sacramento, California post-hardcore band released three studio albums during their initial tenure: Through Art We Are All Equals in 2014, Routine Breathing in 2015, and Beautiful Death in 2018, all with original lead vocalist and founding member Jonny Craig. Produced by Kris Crummett, their debut LP was the first and only to feature bassist Jason Mays while their second showcased the skills of Weston Richmond on rhythm guitar and Colin Viera on bass, also becoming their last release for Artery Recordings. Third offering Beautiful Death was the band's final album with Jonny Craig, who left in 2019 due to accounts of sexual allegations. Their fourth and first post-Jonny Craig album emerged in 2020, To Better Days via SBG Records. The following October they changed their name to Rain City and moved labels to independent imprint Thriller Records, after being dropped by Artery over the allegations. In 2022, under the new name of Rain City Drive, they released their self-titled debut, with a deluxe edition of the LP landing in 2023 followed by new single "Frozen."
