Parov Stelar Trio
The genre-busting Austrian DJ Marcus Füreder is credited with having been the founder of a new musical classification known as 'electro-swing'. When his album 'Shine' was unleashed on the club-going public in 2007, the BBC touted him as one of the most promising producers active in Europe. After a live performance debut in 2005, Füreder, going under his stage name Parov Stelar, was finding that his eclectic musical melding of jazz, house, electro and backbeat was finding favour with enthusiastic audiences at festivals such as Glastonbury and other major musical events throughout Europe, even venturing as far afield as Istanbul and Mexico City.
His work has featured on hundreds of compilation albums and is frequently used in soundtracks by film producers and as backing music in the advertising industry. His singles regularly chart in the mainland European charts as do his albums, the most notable success being the 2015 release 'The Demon Diaries' which went to number one in his native Austria. As well as download and physical success Stelar has released a steady stream of 12" EPs into the vinyl market, some 21 records in a 14-year period and has been the recipient of six Amadeus Austrian Music Awards.
