Paola Prestini
Italian-born composer/multimedia artist Paola Prestini is the founder and director of New York City's interdisciplinary performance art collective VisionIntoArt (VIA). Raised in Mexico, the Juilliard graduate and champion of minimalism and the avant-garde has scored numerous award-winning films and has seen her work performed by the likes of the Kronos Quartet, the Haydn Orchestra, and the Prism Saxophone Quartet. Her debut album, Body Maps, featured compositions for strings, voice, and percussion and was released on John Zorn's Tzadik label in 2008.
