Nocturnal Graves

Leading lights in Australia's underground metal scene, Victoria's Nocturnal Graves emerged in 2004 with a punishing blend of thrash, death, and raw black metal. Debuting in 2007 with the unrelenting Satan's Cross, the band attracted an international fan base with subsequent efforts like ...From the Bloodline of Cain (2012), Titan (2018), and An Outlaw's Stand (2022). A series of well-received demos and a handful of lineup changes preceded the release of Nocturnal Graves' 2007 debut long-player Satan's Cross, which was issued on Nuclear War Now! Productions. The Gravespirit Sessions, a split-LP with Finnish metallers Hellspirit, arrived in 2009, but the following year saw the band go on an indefinite hiatus. They reconvened in 2012 around a lineup consisting of bassist/vocalist J.R. (Impious Baptism, ex-Destroyer 666), guitarists Decaylust (Denouncement Pyre) and Shrapnel (ex-Destroyer 666), and drummer L.W. (Denouncement Pyre), and released their sophomore full-length ...From the Bloodline of Cain, through Hells Headbangers Records the following year. In 2017, Season of Mist reissued the band's 2007 debut, Satan's Cross. The savage Titan appeared in 2018, followed by the equally punitive An Outlaw's Stand in 2022.
