Newport Jazz Festival All Stars
The Newport Jazz Festival All Stars featured assorted musicians assembled by George Wein for Concord recording dates in the late '80s and early '90s. Their personnel included saxophonist Scott Hamilton, cornetist Warren Vache, and, on one date, special guest saxophonist Al Cohn. The All Stars' 1990 release was a live concert done in Bern in 1989, while their 1988 release was a 1987 show recorded in Switzerland.
