Michael Lee Pinder

Offering a combination of Brit-rock and Cali-pop, Michael Lee Pinder is a thought-provoking songwriter whose sing-along pop melodies are spiced with just enough pulsating guitars to add the bite of alt rock to his signature. Add to that an opulent musical pedigree: His dad, Mike Pinder, founded the Moody Blues in 1965. It is his iconic voice and instrumental mellotron that helped define the legendary band at its own chapter in the rock n’roll pantheon.
Growing up in Northern California, Michael was immersed in the style and time, but make no mistake—this artful wordsmith is making his own kind of music. With worthy comparisons to The Decemberists, The Script, Ben Folds Five—and iconoclasts Crosby, Stills & Nash—Michael’s songs adeptly fuse acoustic and electric elements. Indie rock enthusiasts will hear retro sounds with a modern twist, choruses that take you up and don't want to let you down, and a radio friendly grind to the music. Lovers of Aimee Mann, Elliott Smith, or of artists with a penchant for sublime arrangements and evocative wordplay will find Michael's music a welcome addition to their library
