Kerri Watt
Kerri Watt is a versatile Glaswegian singer/songwriter and guitarist with a sound that combines elements of country, rock, blues, Americana, and contemporary pop. Emerging in 2015 with the hit "Long Way Home," Watt inked a deal with Cooking Vinyl in 2019 and unveiled her debut full-length effort, Neptune's Daughter, in 2021.
Raised in the Glasgow suburb Milngavie, Watt moved to California at the age of 16 to attend a performing arts high school. She returned to London the following year to attend drama school, and upon finishing her education participated in theater productions in the West End. Setting her sights on a career in music, Watt released her debut single, "Long Way Home," in 2015. The song received plenty of airplay on BBC Radio 2, as did the next one, "The Wild," and before long Watt was touring the U.K. and Europe as a supporting act for the likes of Starsailor, Mike and the Mechanics, and the Overtones. In 2017 she collaborated with the English alt-rock group Embrace on the track "Never," and released her own single "Old School Love" later that year. In 2018 she traveled to Austin, Texas to record new material with notable heavy metal/hard rock producer Machine (Lamb of God, Clutch). She signed to Cooking Vinyl in 2019 and released her debut long-player, Neptune's Daughter, in early 2021.
