Hugues Le Bars
Composer of music for ballets, films and some very personal albums between French chanson and contemporary poetry, Hugues Le Bars was born in 1950 and died on November 1, 2014, following a long illness. A multi-instrumentalist, sound poet and experimenter, Hugues Le Bars played extensively with sound effects and sampled human voices. Unknown to the general public, Hugues Le Bars nevertheless entered millions of homes with "Bébé funk", the theme tune for the TV show La Grande famille, as well as the soundtrack to the animated series Oggy et les cafards . His latest album Ettoo (2013) was inspired by a trip to Japan. Hugues Le Bars is also the father of singer Féloche.
