DeeWunn
DeeWunn is a Jamaican MC and dancehall performer who rose to fame with his 2013 viral hit “Mek It Bunx Up.” Apart from his solo career, he has written songs for Mystic Davis, Charlie B, A-Game, Nailah, Nordia Baker, and Lily Allen. Born in the parish of Saint Andrew, he joined the dancehall collective Ward 21 in 2010 as a vocalist and songwriter, penning songs for artists like Timberlee and Natalie Storm. Produced by Ward 21’s Kunley McCarthy, his breakthrough single “Mek It Bunx Up” featuring Marcy Chin was released in 2013 to popular acclaim, garnering attention from world-renowned DJs and receiving heavy radio airplay throughout the globe. Subsequently, the track accumulated millions of plays on streaming platforms and even sparked an online dance craze in 2015. His studio debut Bunx Up - The Official Street LP saw the light in 2016, spawning two successful European tours during 2017. In the following years, he issued the singles “Tun Suh” (2018) with TJ Records, “Back It Up, Drop It” (2019) with Leo Justi, "Bubble and Bunx" (2020) with Don Elektron, and "Milkshake and Jello" (2021) with Amenazandel.
