corook
The artistic moniker of Nashville-based singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Corinne Savage, Corook emerged in 2021 with the humorous and insightful alt-pop confection "Sims," which appeared on their debut EP, 2022's Achoo. The viral hit "If I Were a Fish" appeared in 2023.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Savage spent their formative years honing their craft at a performing arts high school and, later on, Berklee College of Music. After relocating to Nashville in their early twenties, they began posting snippets of their songs on social media. Their official debut single, 2021's "Sims," garnered millions of streams and caught the attention of Atlantic, which enthusiastically added them to the label's roster. More singles followed, including the streaming hits "IDK God" and "Bad Friend," with all three tracks appearing on their first EP, Achoo, in 2022. Savage capitalized on the success of the EP with two more singles, "BDSM and "It's OK!," which arrived later that year. 2023 saw the release of the outsider anthem "If I Were a Fish" (featuring Olivia Barton), which became a huge viral hit.
