Code Red Riot
A Las Vegas-based alt-rock combo led by former Otherwise drummer, Corky Gainsford, Code Red Riot meld riffy hard rock with strong melodicism and introspective lyrics. Inspired by acts like Foo Fighters, Shinedown, and Queens of the Stone Age, they made their debut in the summer of 2018 with the full-length Mask.
Feeling frustrated after years of touring and recording as the drummer for Las Vegas hard rock veterans, Otherwise, Gainsford began recording solo demos under the name Code Red Riot, singing and playing all of the instruments himself. An early demo of his 2017 song "Living Low" was picked up by Sirius XM's Octane channel and a handful of terrestrial radio outlets drawing a strong listener response. When Sony Red offered him a deal, Gainsford opted to leave his longtime gig with Otherwise and, after enlisting guitarist Tyler Azure, released Code Red Riot's debut album, Mask, in June 2018.
