Britti

Britti creates a warm synthesis of retro-pop, R&B, country, and soul, all imbued with the unique musicality of her native New Orleans. After producer Dan Auerbach (the Black Keys) heard her covering one of his songs online, he signed Britti to his Easy Eye label and produced her 2024 debut album, Hello, I'm Britti. Born Brittany Guerin in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Britti sang from a young age. She was raised in a music-adoring household with the sounds of blues, zydeco, and R&B. Her uncle, respected bassist Roland Guerin, took her to his gigs with Allen Toussaint and Dr. John. She also loved country music, especially Dolly Parton. Britti followed her passion to Loyola University and earned a performance degree, though for a time her career stalled. She spent several years working at a local music store and eventually, after a particularly tough period during the pandemic, settled into a groove. She began posting covers of songs she loved online and one, a version of Dan Auerbach's "Whispered Words (Pretty Lies)" was seen by the artist himself. Auerbach reached out to Britti and the two met in Nashville, finding a quick and sympathetic musical chemistry. She joined the roster of Easy Eye Sound and worked with Auerbach's in-house crew of musicians to record her debut album. Fusing influences like Sade, Diana Ross, and Beyonce with a bit of vintage Parton country-pop, Britti and Auerbach created a dynamic amalgam of vintage vibes with a contemporary style on her 2024 debut, Hello, I'm Britti.
