ADT
Chicago-based improvisatory ensemble ADT play psychedelic free jazz imbued with swirling electronic textures. Their performances range from ecstatic, celebratory freakouts to calmer, more meditative moments, always maintaining an expert sense of control and pacing. The group's membership has varied, but several mainstays of Chicago's underground music scene have participated. For their debut LP, Insecurities, ADT consisted of guitarist Jake Acosta, drummer Ben Billington (Quicksails, Tiger Hatchery), saxophonist Carlos Chavarria, and electronic musicians Kyle Drouin and Adam Tramposh. It was recorded by Cooper Crain (Cave, Bitchin Bajas) in the spring of 2016, and released by Hausu Mountain in February of 2018.
