Abafana Baseqhudeni
Abafana Baseqhudeni (literally, the Cockrel Boys) mark a decisive break from the conventional mbaqanga lineup. Rather than having a powerful lead 'groaner,' backed by a five-part female chorus, the group is composed solely of men. The limelight is shared by Potatoes Zuma and Elphas Mkize, together with the mandatory groaner, Robert 'Mbazo' Mkhize.
