A boy band irlandesa Westlife obteve muito êxito comercial na Europa e lançou 10 discos entre 1999, quando estreou, e 2010. Mas depois disso entraram em um hiato e os quatro membros passaram a se dedicar aos seus projetos solo. Essa pausa acabou em 2018, quando anunciaram que um novo trabalho estava sendo preparado. Lançado em 2019, Spectrum trouxe a banda de volta. O álbum foi produzido por Steve Mac, colaborador de longa data do quarteto. No disco, a sonoridade pop do Westlife foi revitalizada de acordo com as tendências do gênero, fazendo com que não soassem datados ou nostálgicos dos tempos passados da carreira. Entre os colaboradores do álbum estão James Bay e Ed Sheeran, que assinou dois singles de destaque: "Hello My Love" e "Better Man".
