Prohibition is the 2009 record of legendary French avant-garde diva Brigitte Fontaine, who turned 70 while she was making the record. Recorded with longtime collaborator Areski Belkacem, as well as notorious disco diva Grace Jones and her frequent producer/collaborator Ivor Guest, Prohibition turned out a typically diverse affair, with everything from nervous avant-jazz sounds to danceable electronica to wiry electro-rock can be found here.
