O terceiro álbum de estúdio do DJ e produtor norueguês Kygo, Golden Hour, foi lançado em 2020 pela Sony Music. Com 18 faixas, o disco foi classificado como house tropical e tem uma extensa lista de convidados especiais, que inclui nomes como OneRepublic, Kim Petras, Zara Larsson e Tyga – além de usar os vocais de Whitney Houston em “Higher Love”. Golden Hour teve seis singles de divulgação: além de “Higher Love”, também foram lançados “Like It Is”, “I’ll Wait”, “Freedom”, “Lose Somebody”, e “The Truth”. A versão japonesa do álbum conta com três faixas-bônus, entre elas “Carry On”, com vocais de Rita Ora, incluída na trilha sonora do filme Detetive Pikachu (2019). O álbum foi bem-sucedido comercialmente, e chegou à 18ª posição da parada Billboard 200.
