Jim Corcoran & Bertrand Gosselin
Quebec folk duo, formed in 1972 by Bertrand Gosselin and Jim Corcoran, in the Eastern Townships (Canada), who debuted under the name Bertrand et Corcoran until 1975. In 1975, they released a second opus, Île d'Entrée , followed by a third in 1978, La Tête En Gigue . The latter album was the most successful of the duo's career, with the songs "J'ai la tête en gigue " and "Welcome soleil " becoming Quebec classics. The album won the Best Folk Record award at the Montreux International Music Festival (Switzerland) that same year. It also went gold in February 1981 in Canada, selling over 50,000 copies. They scored a final hit with the song "La Fille du capitaine", and continued their solo careers from 1979 onwards.
