Considering the David Crowder Band's grassroots beginnings (the band formed to counter a lack of church attendance among Baylor University students), it seemed fitting to combine two previously unreleased fan rewards to fill the time between studio albums. Lime came from The Green CD -- recorded in Irvine, CA on the first Passion Experience tour in 2001 -- and The Yellow CD, which included live recordings from an Atlanta concert in 2003. Both were give-aways for fans who attended release parties for Can You Hear Us? and Illuminate or pre-ordered online. The appeal to casual listeners is following the evolution of the band's sound from generic worship to trend-setting electronic pop during their coming-out period. Otherwise, there is little to rival the original studio work of Illuminate and A Collision, the two albums that acted as bookends.
