The work of Gershwin is a nirvana that has been so often recorded that it is ultimately never easy to approach it for artists without falling into the anecdotal or deja vu. With this adaptation of the works of the brilliant New York composer (for jazz trio and orchestra), Franck Tortiller, the Pasdeloup Orchestra and Wolfgang Doerner deliver a truly outstanding job. Pasdeloup and Tortiller, with various jazz ensembles, have united on stage for several years now. Here are the unreleased recording of Porgy & Bess, jazz standards revisited by the Pasdeloup Orchestra and Tortiller Trio.
