Intrepid musical explorers Dub Trio, however, seek to combine the closed, focused bombast of heavy metal with the wide-open spaces of dub-reggae. COOL OUT AND COEXIST, the group's third album, is a live recording from an outing at Union Pool in Brooklyn. Dub Trio build a relentless sonic assault through charging guitars and machine-gun drums, taking dub out of the realm of Jamaican studio productions and into the unfamiliar arena of live punk metal.
