The third single from Believe -- and Bieber's fifth Top Ten Hot 100 hit -- "Beauty and a Beat" rides rushing synthesizers, an elastic bassline, and assorted blips and croaks from producers Zedd and Max Martin. It's a euphoric party anthem, but Bieber's performance is mechanical and distant; perhaps coincidentally, it's the lone Believe song neither written nor co-written by him. Nicki Minaj adds a mismatched guest verse that is only somewhat lewd and rhymes "wiener" with a reference to Selena Gomez.
