Sody
London-born pop singer and singer-songwriter (September 27, 2000 in London (United Kingdom) Sophie Dyson, known by her stage name of Sody, first emerged on the scene in 2016 with her "Sorry" single. Her debut EP, Youth, followed, with the burgeoning artist garnering a wider audience and acquiring a deal with Universal Music Publishing. "Let Go" arrived in 2017 and Sody was signed to Relentless Records in February 2018, taking her sound down a notch for the introspective piano-led "Maybe It Was Me," released in September that year. Another single came in December 2018, "Let You Know," and she leaned further into her vulnerable side for "The Bully," which was released in April 2019 and conveyed Sody's real-life experiences of school bullying. She turned in her second EP, I'm Sorry, I'm Not Sorry, in January 2020, containing four mellow, diaristic songs: "What We Had," "Reason To Stay," "Nothing Ever Changes" and "Love's a Waste." The standalone "Charlotte" single showed up two months later, with another handful of singles also appearing that year, including the versatile track "Bedroom Ceiling," which was reimagined several times, including a new version with Cavetown. That year also birthed her most popular track to date; "Fools," a hip-hop collaboration with Foster and Sarcastic Sounds which breathed new life into Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling In Love." December 2020 saw the release of Sody's third EP, real growth takes time, featuring the lead single "butterfly," and in 2021, she explored a bolder side to her songwriting with the new single "Bitch (I said it)."
