The fourth album from Surfaces, 2021's Pacifico finds the laid-back Texas duo further digging into their beachy blend of vintage-style soft rock, hip-hop, R&B, and electronic grooves. Once again, the set features the talents of instrumentalist/producer Colin Padalecki and singer Forrest Frank. We also get nicely curated guest spots by Quinn XCII ("On Time"), Salem Ilese ("Come with Me"), and Xavier Omär ("Come Around"). Think something along the lines of John Mayer collaborating with the Postal Service, and you'll get a nice sense of the '80s adult-contemporary pop and indie electronic vibes Surfaces conjure on Pacifico.
