After their first album in 2014, Ólafur Anarlds and Janus Rasmussen have explored the scenes from all over the world like never before. It was enough to enrich the experience of their duo Kiasmos in order to give birth to this EP released on the still as tasty Erased Tape label. A few seconds are enough to get back into the dreaming atmosphere of the Icelandic twosome, its ambient deep and often melancholic textures. Blurred mixes feelings of purity with a whole imagery of wide-open spaces. These vast electronic hangings don’t impede the very introspective aspect of some sections. All of that could easily sound very cliché, very formulaic or even very easy, but the virtuosity of the two Scandinavians takes over and turns their compositions into very singular and personal soundtracks. © CM/Qobuz
