Lubricated Goat
Formed in Australia in 1986 by ex-Salamander member Stu Spasm, Lubricated Goat was influenced in equal parts by classic rock sexuality, punk debauchery, and the experimental noise of early industrial rock and psychedelic jazz. Other Salamander expatriates would occasionally join his recordings and tours to help with sampling or saxophone playing, but the Satan-endorsing Spasm was Goat’s primary face from its debut, PLAY THE DEVIL’S MUSIC, up through their 1990 demise after he was stabbed in Berlin. Spasm would reunite Lubricated with new members from groups like Cop Shoot Cop and Railroad Jerk, releasing FORCES YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND before dissolving the band for good.
